"Fun, friendly and fresh"
B52 Burgers needed an identity that drew inspiration from 1950s visual culture while incorporating a modern finish. Youthful, fun, and energetic, the B52 identity was created to be welcoming with warm yellow and soft corners. Pastel colours and hand-drawn shapes jive with the friendly nature of the company reminding people of days gone by.
IDENTITY DESIGN, PACKAGING DESIGN
About the process.
1. Abstract 1950s organic forms, combined with the speech bubble, gave the shape to my B52 logo.
2. The 1950s were a time of smooth, rounded shapes. Many of the fonts being used were slightly slanted for a more conversational tone.
3. I used familiar 1950s colours with a touch more saturation for a modern twist.
